I visited there once some years ago and I think you have captured some of the desolation of that place, despite the brilliant blue skies and sunshine.
Thank you. It was quite a moving experience to be there. And though the sun and blue skies look nice, it was so hot that day they further added to the feeling of desolation.
I missed where is it? Lonely and desolate and not particularly inviting, like solitary confinement, no words spoken just he silence of one mind trapped in one body.
It’s on Robben Island, the prison Nelson Mandela was held in. So yes, I think your impression is exactly it.
Thanks
What I remember, some walls have hand writing on it. Sad place but full of histories….
It is heartbreaking and difficult, but yes, full of history. Hard to imagine the suffering – but important to imagine it, and to remember it.
Very nice light in these. It was an important and somber place to visit for me.
