The goddess dipped her toes in the icy stream
setting the stars reflected there to dance and sway
she twirled and spun in the light of a moon beam
and looked to the horizon to watch for the dawning of a new day.
The night sky swirled purple and thick as India ink,
as morning prepared to spread o’er the fields and rolling hills of green.
two planets, Jupiter and Venus, fused and dazzled at the brink
calling those humble, regal and wise to witness and to dream.
The Morning Star met the Thunder, shining bright,
she touched her Immortal skin upon the land,
they rejoiced at the shortening of the night –
a sacred memory cast aside, but for those who would understand.
